Summer Rain
Summer Rain
Longing for you was all in vain
Like a desert filled with pain
Desperately hoping for the summer rain.
I felt like a lost soul not so strong
Who have been away for far too long.
To really know where to belong.
Standing at the edge watching the sky
Staying undercover, gazing like a spy
Knowing the facts, but not knowing why.
Years have passed since the day.
When your spirit faded away
Although I begged you to stay.
The daffodils were blooming in the spring,
While men were fighting about who to be king
Lives ended by projectiles which they sling.
Some say that they fight for peace
But those who do will never be at ease
As their hearts is filled with a burning disease.
Some call it gods some call it fate,
But it does not matter if you realize too late
That you lost the direction to heaven’s gate.
